ABOUT

Me....
Hi. My name is Jentrix,  but i am more commonly known by family and friends as Jenty, and for this blog, you can call me Baby J. I am a mother (of three beauties), a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend and a woman out to prove that it is possible for anyone to achieve a healthier, meaningful lifestyle, especially through exercise and better nutritional habits.

I am a scientist, though i prefer to say that i am a scientific artist (or vice versa), since my core passions and interests span across both science and art. I love music, for i find that it resonates with me on so many levels (i always say that in my next life, I'd like to come back as a musician). I enjoy reading on lots of subjects, except politics. I love writing, and i hate stupid grammatical errors! So that means i am very picky and detail-oriented. I like the idea of being a medical doctor, though i really fear blood and i get emotional quite easily, so i could never be one myself. That's probably why i opted for getting a PhD in Chemistry instead. I am very excited about pursuing a career in medical writing....in fact I'll digress and blog about it the day i get that first opportunity.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and lately, I ENJOY RUNNING! Yes, i never thought i could say that but yeah, i love running, and i find myself looking forward to my next "running fix"!

My Family....
I am married to the one and only, Dr. G., a scientist as well, and the most supportive, brilliant, hardworking, understanding, loving and caring husband i could ever ask for. We are blessed with three beautiful and adorable daughters. Lav (a.k.a Lala) is 14, so full of life and just started high school, God bless her heart! Our second born Subi (a.k.a Ms. Diva (MD)) is 3 (going on 7! ), and happens to be the life of the party in our home, what a blessing! Our youngest, Alyssa Grace (a.k.a Sugar Boo (SB)), is 7 months old and the sweetest, most precious baby on earth.

Run Baby J! Run!.....
This blog chronicles my journey towards a more rewarding, healthier, and happier life through better choices. I  actively embarked on running for weight loss about two months ago, so come on and follow me on this journey that has become my lifestyle. Run Baby J! Run!" is the sentimental mantra that i chant while i am out there running, feeling like i am getting out of gas and about to give up. I tell myself to just keep taking one step after the other, inhaling, exhaling, chanting my mantra, and silencing all those negative voices in my head that sometimes tell me that i cannot do it. Before i know it, my 30 minutes are up, the endorphins are right on, and  i am ripping all the benefits. My hope is that in some way, someone out there gets inspired by my journey, and starts on one of their own!
